Subjective or Objective?

Can we change what is subjective or objective?

A toddler enjoys eating a tomato, but he grows up, and, he grows to accept many more vegetables and foods, sweets, etc. By the time he is an adult, does he still like tomatoes?

Some tastes change through external factors, such as the quality of tomatoes reducing over time, but tastes can also change internally or through personal development and growth.

We can change people’s tastes by affecting them internally or externally, but some tastes will remain fixed for life.

If there is a mixture of genes and environment at work in people’s lives, then that is the likely explanation for some things being changeable, while others are not.

Objectivity is a different complexity. People and free acting agents can change our fate, but it is not known how far it is true that we live in a deterministic universe.

If it was objectively true that everything is deterministic, but that objective truth could change, then it would no longer be a fact, but it could change back into a fact again in the future, couldn’t it? Unless there is some limit on the number of changes that can take place towards objective truths.

On the subject of time travel, which checking my posts people would find is a running theme; we can make many assumptions about time travel, and whether time travel is real or not, we could still use these ideas in the real world.

What we really need, is some guidance towards whether some things are intrinsically changeable or can be reversed to a previous state, without considering whether some agent can travel around the temporal domain and force something to change regardless of paradoxes or circumstances.

Time travel could be explored to lay down the groundwork for ‘change’, without being concerned with what is physically impractical, such as harnessing the power of a singularity to travel through time.

This is because ‘change’ and its constraints are seemingly always defined practically, and not impractically. We can always practically say that change occurs on some level, and not that it could be constrained by something where an infeasibility is called attention to.

Infeasibilities are our axioms towards our understandings towards ‘blocked’ concepts and theories, but change is not an assumption, it is a fact.

With that said, by exploring what ‘change’ means, we can find axioms towards how specific forms of change could be blocked.

This is a nice thought, and it opens up some possibilities towards what we can and can’t change in the universe, even if ‘change’ could one day be seen as equally true and unstoppable as determinism, or elements of indeterminism in the universe.
