Drowners

It was a blue and yellow day. The water lapped lazily along the shore and rose and fell against the low brown cliffs of the cove. Further out the sea was rougher; in the shallows a woman with a…

A year of design development in situ

I feel that it is time to look back on this year to review the important steps that are contributing to the construction of the design organ at Famoco. So, let’s do it together…

I come with the genesis of a product, Cashless.

This product is being developed with a pilot, a project for a Filipino customer on the island of Boracay (1.7 million visitors/year), close-loop payment, hotel access, amusement park, city card, boat fee, environmental fee, etc.

A year later, after many challenges and a wonderful trip to Manila, the Cashless project is alive:

At the same time I’m starting a Design System to feed this product and others to come:

I’m participating in a one-week Bootcamp at the United Nations for the World Food Programme in Munich. The aim is to find ways to improve School Feeding solutions in Africa through Digital.

In agreement with the WFP and Famoco, I publish my work:

I carry out the first internal Lunch and Learn to communicate massively on UX after the end of the Cashless project; seduction mission to bring UX to the rank of facilitator and problem solver, and this, in all the company’s reflections:

Followed by a second internal Lunch and Learn to communicate the need for usability testing:

Following internal events, with the help of the Sales and Support teams, I design a usability testing framework:

Shortly afterward, I carry out the first external test at a client’s home (Antwerp).

At the same time, I’m finalizing a Confluence area dedicated to UX, bringing transparency and access to the entire company:

I’m in charge of the UX redesign of our mobile device management (MDM).

I create an R&D Lab, first exploration, 3D modeling of concepts in order to question the values of hardware products:

I publish an article about my evangelization process for Famoco:

A big THANKS to my wonderful colleagues who every day have greatly helped me this amazing year!
