What is Sustainable Fashion? Why YOU should care.

According to the EPA, the main source of textile waste is discarded clothing. In 2017 alone, it is estimated that 16.9 million tons of textile were produced and landfills received 11.2 million tons of textile waste in the same year, making up about 8% of all landfill waste that year.*

So that jumpsuit you bought and discarded? Most likely in a landfill.

The U.S. needs to begin it’s crash course in rethinking & rewiring the way we approach what is fashionable. We need to keep each other accountable so that we can find a solution that does not involve our trash whisked away to other countries, out of site out of mind.

Can we make a pact? Take the the plunge and inspire others to say NO to fast fashion. Advocate for and shop with like minded individual companies. Pledge to be fast-fashion free by commenting below.
